To Jenny, if you are using winXP you may want to un-install IE7 from time to time to test out any websites you've designed. All the sites ive worked on since IE7 have all looked terrible in IE6. I do find IE7 one of the easier sites to layout using pure CSS but IE6, FF and Opera all work similarly in comparison to IE7 so a few small changes will open up your site to around 40-50% of the nets users.

Blindly ignoring visitors to your site due to not testing is just a straight up bad idea.

yeah, it does look bad..

well, i dont think we can ignore IE6.. i'm still using it. that made 1 user/visitor to your site..

well, can't we just design it with no flaws ? .. making it both usable in IE6 and IE7...

Oh my lord it drives me crazy. I constantly forget that IE can't render things correctly, like PNG images.

Usually if it's not too bad I don't bother to fix it, but if it's something like... well, it jumping to the bottom of the page or something I'll try to fix it. But sometimes, after fussing with trying to get IE to look decent I just give up.

No, cssmania has more and more taken on sites that are not well designs or coded. I guess they are having trouble finding well made sites to publish.

Also - A shit band with a shit name deserves a shit site. Might have something to do with it.

Unfortunately, this is (maybe) just the first to not warn the viewer that the site is not optimized for IE6. Plenty of sites "ignore" Internet Explorer, just not to the extent that this site has.

There are ways to have this site work in Internet Explorer. The use of 375k PNGs for the entire design, I think, is a waste.

(BTW - the homepage and the CSS do not validate even though the handy links are in the footer)

Hey, being the first (well known) site to ignore ie6'd be good publicity, right?
Mostly I find it funny that it works in firefox & opera, but not old(6) IE - it's nice for browsers I like to not be broken by sites working around IE's quirks

No, suddenly, we still can't ignore ie6. There are still around <strong>70%</strong> of ie6 in a full count of ie's.

And I think designers should be very carefull even to make thier own websites ignoring ie6, at least without visible explanation to visitors, because they have a big opportunity to loose most of future clients.
